One of the main differences between Cayce and Dr. Hoy was that Cayce went into a trance to access his psychic abilities, and Dr. Hoy had his abilities readily available at all times. These two psychics show us that psychic abilities can be extremely accurate and reliable, and that each person has a unique method of accessing them.
Here’s the first question, why does this matter? What benefit can we gain from this information? A lot of people feel that anything psychic is too “out there” to be of any real use, that the whole subject is one for those who are “a little off”. But is it? Don’t we all trust our “gut instinct” about certain matters? When we meet someone for the first time, don’t we trust our “first impression”? What is a first impression, anyways? Science tells us that the first impression is the subconscious reaction to a wide variety of subtle clues including a person’s body posture, tone of voice, facial expressions, fluidity of motion, and factors such as how they wear their clothes.
What if there are other clues, even subtler? Have you ever met someone who seemed completely confident, well dressed, and in complete control of the situation, yet had an uneasy feeling about him/her? Where did that feeling come from? And what about the feelings we get about things and places? Yes, it could be simply a resemblance to something in memory, which brings up forgotten feelings associated with whatever we are remembering on the subconscious level.
But here’s the catch. The ability to know things totally unavailable to physical sense has been proven, scientifically. Whether we want to believe in psychic abilities or not, they have been proven to be real. So the question comes back to what benefit can we get from this information?
In our information age (some are saying that we’ve past the information age and entered the communication age) we generally agree that more information gives us more choices, more power in a situation. If you know that the confident person in front of you who’s offering you a fabulous high-paying job will fail in the next year, then you can save yourself the trouble and say no to the job offer. If you know that the business opportunity in your email inbox will make millions in the next several months, then you can jump on it before it’s too late.
Or, along another line, if you know that that sexy person you just met will become the person of your dreams, but only after having some rough times, you can choose to stick with them and receive the rewards of a satisfying relationship. Actually, the benefits of knowing more information (physically or psychically obtained) is always the availability of more choices, and the ability to make wiser decisions.
Okay, so how can we develop our ability to use the psychic senses reliably. That’s the trick, isn’t it? While there have been those who were famous for their psychic abilities, they have been famous because they were unique. For most people, it seems that psychic abilities are far from reliable. Even the psychics working on the 900 lines, and those who make predictions for the papers give inaccurate information. Is the development of psychic abilities possible, or do we get what we get?
When I first started working with psychic abilities, my accuracy rate was a flat zero. Nothing outside of chance. If the ability could not be developed, I would not have been able to improve that. Yet I did improve my accuracy rate. It wasn’t easy, mainly because I couldn’t find any good information on developing these abilities. Most of what I found were tests and games. And while simple exercise of an ability may make it improve, it didn’t work well. So I went back to basics and started working on my own techniques of development.
To make a long story short(er), I found that working on the physical senses (trying to focus my sight, hearing, and other senses to pick up every detail around me), a different type of meditation, and some light hypnosis worked amazingly well. I also found that if I tried too hard I blocked myself off from whatever I needed to make contact with to get the psychic information.
I also found that I could use that same connection to make changes in the world around me. The power of prayer and stories of spiritual healing also intrigued me. This is probably why I experimented with using the psychic connection in this way.
So the bottom line is that psychic abilities can be developed, and the abilities manifest in different ways for different people. Also, psychic abilities can be used for more than gathering information, but can be used to create changes in the world around you.

Eating Cherries In Texas May Be Good For You

Cherries. Sweet, tart and oh so good. Individuals in Dallas, Houston and elsewhere in Texas can find them in pies, drinks, pitted, not pitted, juiced, au naturel, maraschinoed, covered with chocolate, sitting on top of whipped cream or blended into special sauces. They’ve become part of our nation’s folklore with George Washington cutting down a cherry tree. Even cherried rats, in research, have proven that cherries can do more that add a sweet-tart taste to your dessert or fruit gum. Researchers have recently discovered that cherries might support a healthy cardiovascular system and more in individuals.
According a study from the University of Michigan, rats given powdered tart cherries in their diets had — lower total cholesterol, lower blood sugar, less fat storage in the liver, lower oxidative stress and increased production of a molecule that helps the body handle fat and sugar — compared with those that didn’t.
To mirror the current human population, the rats used in the study were not the healthiest. These rats had a predisposition toward high cholesterol and pre-diabetes, but not to obesity. When they reached the age of six weeks, they were fed either a carbohydrate-enriched diet or a diet that included either one or ten percent cherries for 90 days. The higher cherry dose was included to investigate toxic effects, but none was discovered.
At the end of the study, the unhealthy rats that received the one percent cherry diet had significantly lower total cholesterol, triglyceride, glucose and insulin levels than those of the rats that didn’t. The same was true for those on the 10% cherry diet. They were compared to rats that received a diet with an equally high level of carbohydrates not from cherries.
The researchers also measured plasma TEAC, which is a test of antioxidant capacity in the blood. A higher TEAC reading means better ability to neutralize damaging free radical molecules produced in the body during metabolism. The cherried rats had higher antioxidant capacity, which indicated lower oxidative stress in their bodies. As storage of excess fat is common in metabolic syndrome, researchers also measured fat levels in the rats’ livers, as well as the genetic expression of PPAR (peroxisome proliferators-activating receptor) in the liver. The cherried rats had both a lower level of fat in their livers and a higher expression of the PPAR gene.
Researchers concluded that the correlation between cherry intake and significant changes in metabolic measurements suggests a positive effect from the high concentrations of antioxidant anthocyanidins, which are found in tart cherries. But the researchers also concluded that they were not certain if cherry-rich diets might have a similar impact in humans. A small clinical trial is planned.
After three months, the cherried rats had significantly lower cholesterol levels than another group that ate a normal diet. The cherried rats also did better when measured for levels of insulin and other metabolic syndrome factors — a condition that often leads to heart disease or diabetes.
Researcher Dr Steven Bolling said that the benefits came from small amounts of cherries, just one percent of the animals’ diet. Bolling said that the research team now plans to start trials on humans. The key to the cherry’s success is anthocyanins, natural compounds that help stop cholesterol from clogging up arteries. Sour or tart cherries are especially rich in anthocyanins.
Other studies have uncovered that cherries also might provide pain relief for arthritis sufferers and may help individuals get a good night’s sleep by regulating their natural cycle.
Cherries have been used for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. Ground-up cherry stones were used to relieve chest pain and stomach problems during the 15th and 16th centuries. How Wine Is Made

The first stage in the wine making process is to crush the grapes. In days gone by the grapes would be loaded into a large vat and the wine maker(s) would gently tread on them to break the grapes’ skins to release the juice.

Most modern wines are fermented at a relatively low temperature, which results in wine with a fruity character. White wines are commonly made in large, cooled, stainless steel containers but some better quality wines are fermented in oak casks or, alternatively, oak chippings may be added to the must.
Red and rosa wines are usually produced in stainless steel vats or, sometimes, in oak. When the fermenting wine has reached the required color intensity, the liquid is drawn from the vessel, leaving behind the crushed skins and stalks.
Before bottling, wines from different batches may be blended together and matured. Depending on the type of wine, the length of this maturation process can be measured in anything from days to years.
If an “oaky” flavor is desired then the wine can be matured in oak barrels. New oak or old oak barrels can be used depending on the final flavor required.

The experiment had terrible side effects, such as making sailors to go mad, and some of them never returned.The Navy quit exploring this exciting new technology.
The experiment was allegedly done by Dr. Franklin Reno as an application of Einstein’s unified field theory. The experiment supposedly demonstrated a successful connection between gravity and electromagnetism: electromagnetic space-time warping.
The Navy denies that it ever did such a test. There are lots of questions for the creators, why they done this experiment on a such big object with people on it. They could do this on small objects, or animals, and watch their reactions, then decide that making this experiment on humans is a high risk. This experiment can be done on other object, but why it wasn’t made ? because it is impossible.
This is my point of view, let’s see other opinions.
The Navy does all kinds of experiments, but they keep it secret.It’s true that the Navy was experimenting with “invisibility” in 1943, but not with making ships disappear. Edward Dudgeon, who says he was there on the U.S.S. Engstrom, claims that they hoped to make our ships “invisible to magnetic torpedoes by de-Gaussing them.” Dudgeon described the procedure:
“They sent the crew ashore and they wrapped the vessel in big cables, then they sent high voltages through these cables to scramble the ship’s magnetic signature. This operation involved contract workers, and of course there were also merchant ships around, so civilian sailors could well have heard Navy personnel saying something like, “they’re going to make us invisible,” meaning undetectable by magnetic torpedoes….”
The central claim of the Philadelphia experiment may have a basis in fact, however. Edward Dudgeon describes the event.
“I was in [a] bar that evening, we had two or three beers, and I was one of the two sailors who are said to have disappeared mysteriously…The fight started when some of the sailors bragged about the secret equipment [radar, sonar, special screws, a new compass, etc.] and were told to keep their mouths shut. Two of us were minors….The waitresses scooted us out the back door as soon as trouble began and later denied knowing anything about us. We were leaving at two in the morning. The Eldridge had already left at 11 p.m. Someone looking at the harbor that night might have noticed that the Eldridge wasn’t there any more and it did appear in Norfolk. It was back in Philadelphia harbor the next morning, which seems like an impossible feat: if you look at the map you’ll see that merchant ships would have taken two days to make the trip. They would have required pilots to go around the submarine nets, the mines and so on at the harbor entrances to the Atlantic. But the Navy used a special inland channel, the Chesapeake-Delaware Canal, that bypassed all that. We made the trip in about six hours”
Now, this experiment seems to be only a myth, but, who started the speculations about this experiment ? We don’t have answers too many questions, and probably we will never know if the experiment is real or not.
